China- The land of the Red Dragon.


China has come a long way from what it was in 1978. Since initiating market reforms in 1978, China has shifted from a centrally planned to a market based economy and experienced rapid economic and social development. GDP growth averaging about 10 percent a year has lifted more than 500 million people out of poverty. All Millennium Development Goals have been reached or are within reach.

  1. The case did talk about the defence expenditure, but the level of expenditure in intelligence domain in itself is massive. check out the link

    Expenditure on its space prog is also massive, like shenzhou-9 capsule plans, and its own satellite-navigation system development plans.

    i wonder if china has already come out of its adolescence age into the adult domain.
